Naomi---Ruth‘s ‘ mother-in-law

Ruth 1:1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

Ruth

Ruth 1 : 3 And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons. Ruth 1 : 4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.

Ruth 1 : 5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband. Ruth 1 : 6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Ruth 1 : 8 --- Ruth 1 : 15 Naomi asked them to leave but they were not willing to leave. Naomi still told them to go back to their own home. At last, Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth insisted on following her. Ruth 1 : 16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, [or] to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people [shall be] my people, and thy God my God: Ruth 1 : 17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, [if ought] but death part thee and me.

Ruth 2 : 2 And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after [him] in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter. Ruth 2 : 3 And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field [belonging] unto Boaz, who [was] of the kindred of Elimelech.

Boaz

Ruth 2 : 4 And behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD [be] with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee. Ruth 2 : 5--Ruth 2:13 Boaz found Ruth and allowed her to glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves. He also told his servants not to touch her. Ruth felt very grateful for his kindness while Boaz said that she deserved it for what she had done.

Ruth 2:14--Ruth 2: 16 Boaz also said that she could eat their food and drink their water. And she sat beside the reapers who gave her food. She did eat, was sufficed and left. Then she went to glean the ears of corn again.

Ruth 2:17--Ruth 2:23 So she gleaned in the field until even. She gave what she had gleaned and the food left to Naomi. Naomi asked where she got those things. Ruth told her everything about Boaz. Naomi was also very grateful to Boaz and told her that he was a kinsman of their family. So she kept following the maidens of Boaz to glean till the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and still lived with Naomi.

Ruth 3:1--Ruth 3:4 Then Naomi said:" My daughter, shall I not seek rest for you, that it may be well with you?" So Ruth dressed up beautifully. Naomi
